RADIATION DEFENSE PROJECT

RADIATION DEFENSE PROJECT recognizes the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident as “one of the largest nuclear accidents in the world.” The massive radiation leakage into the atmosphere, land, the ocean, rivers, lakes, and groundwater causes radioactive particles to accumulate within plants and animals, which then becomes food contamination that affects not only ourselves, but the entire food chain. We are a voluntary citizen’s group with an objective to prevent and minimize these various environmental and health effects.

This Project originated from the Facebook group ”福島第一原発を考えます” (Fukushima Daiichi Genpatsu wo Kangaemasu) with approximately 5000 members from Japan and all over the world, connected through this social networking site in order to know the “truths” about the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident.

First, we would like to share results from our Tokyo Metropolitan Soil Testing project, so that we can all see the serious effects of radioactive contamination, and continue to bring ideas and actions in order to defend ourselves, our country, and the world from radiation.
